Unforgettable Christmas Challenge
As a part of this Unforgettable Christmas season, we are offering a challenge to our church and community. Let’s show care, compassion and service to those around us this season.

Challenge #1   |   December 9

Our parent liaison at John Champe High School has asked us to sponsor a few students for Christmas. This is a tangible way for us to help students in our community get what they need.

You can sign up to buy gift cards to places like Wal-Mart, Target and Chick-fil-a. Instructions are below about when and where to drop off the gift cards.

Let’s take on this challenge to care for our neighbors by December 9.

Challenge #2   |   December 21

The staff at Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS) asked if we can help some of the families they serve. When someone leaves a domestic abuse situation, they usually do so in a hurry. And, more often than not, they lack basic necessities, like transportation.

LAWS would like Uber and Lyft gift cards so the families they serve can go to appointments, shopping, etc. You can buy Uber and Lyft gift cards at most grocery stores. Sign up to drop off the gift cards at Beth Robertson’s home.

Let’s take on this challenge so that LAWS families can get to the places they need to go by December 21.

Challenge #3   |   Decemeber 21

We have the pleasure of being a Dulles South Food Pantry partner. Since March, the number of families they serve has continued to rise each month. The good news is that the Dulles South community has risen to the challenge and helped them meet the need. But there are certain items the pantry rarely receives.

Your challenge: when you go to the grocery store, pick up some spices for the families served by the pantry. Here’s a list of items they’d love to receive:

  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Salt or Powder
  • Paprika
  • Dried Basil
  • Dried Oregano
  • Cumin
  • Ground Ginger
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg

Drop off the grocery items at Beth Robertson’s home (25674 Elk Lick Road in South Riding) by December 21.
