SERMON SERIES
THIS PANDEMIC LIFE

MAY 31 – JUNE 14
Our everyday lives have changed, with a return to ‘normal’ hard to imagine. When dealing with heightened anxiety and uncertainty, our stress levels rise. In these times , it is important for us to seek God and wisdom in the Bible. Using the Book of James, we will look at what the Bible tells us about how to graciously walk through hardships and challenges.

SURVEY
Last week, Governor Northam began the process of reopening parts of Virginia, while extending them for Northern Virginia until May 29. The care and safety of our church and surrounding community is our most important value. Restoration Loudoun is not planning to open the church for in-person worship in the near future. We intend to comply with guidance from the CDC, Virginia, Loudoun County and our Virginia United Methodist Conference with each step we take. As Restoration Loudoun’s staff and lay leadership begin to discuss the next steps, we want to hear from you about your concerns and understand what you are thinking, when the time does come to resuming in-person activities. Click here to answer a brief, anonymous survey. Thank you for your participation, we value your input.

KIDS LIFE ONLINE
Sunday school video lessons, including a story and craft are available online for kids, preschool through grade 5, to offer something for kids to do during the week at home. These lessons are available on our website at RestorationLoudoun.org/Connect/Kids.

ADULT CHECK-INS
Join in a conversation and check-in on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. These check-ins offer you a chance to see others, enjoy conversation and continue building community virtually. Zoom links will be sent out by email on Wednesdays. If you haven’t received them, email Jake McGlothin at jmcglothin@restorationloudoun.org.

ADLER CENTER
We have an opportunity to assist patients and visitors at the Adler Center by sewing masks and fidget blankets. If you are able to sew, or know someone who can, please reach out to Jake McGlothin at jmcglothin@restorationloudoun.org or call 703-457-6857 for instructions and delivery information. Click on the links to view sewing patterns for making fidget blankets and masks.

DULLES SOUTH FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS
Food donations are critical at this time. The pantry is working hard to meet the rising demand for food in the Dulles South area. The next time you are shopping, please consider purchasing the following items: toothbrushes, dry chickpeas, chili/stew, pasta sauce with meat, pancake mix, alfredo sauce, 100% juice boxes, mandarin oranges, refried beans and instant potatoes (no glass containers). Update: Dulles South Food Pantry is currently asking for donations of rice.

DONATION DROP OFF
Donations of food, masks and fidget blankets can be dropped off in the black bins near the garage at 42919 Golf View Drive in South Riding. For the masks and fidget blankets, please put them in plastic bags. If you have any questions or want to inform Jake McGlothin about dropping something off, please text 703-457-6857.
