Spring Bash & Denim Drive

May 1, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Spring Bash and Denim Drive

Join us as we emerge from a long hibernation to celebrate spring with an outdoor celebration!

Enjoy lunch from a food truck, kids’ games and activities, special group fun for middle and high school students. At the same time, we can all support the Dulles South Neighborhood Closet!

Besides enjoying the spring weather, this event centers around a denim drive for Dulles South Neighborhood Closet. They will use our donations at their Back-to-School distribution event in August.

Anyone who brings a donation will receive a FREE raffle ticket to win prizes, including baskets from local businesses!

Donation Guidelines

Why Denim? From toddlers to grownups, everybody has it and everybody wants it!

What Denim? Jeans, jean shorts, jackets, shirts, overalls, dresses – all sizes needed!

What’s Acceptable? Dulles South Neighborhood Closet accepts all sizes of clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children. Donations must be clean and in very good condition.

What’s Not Acceptable? They cannot accept items with

  • stains, visible dirt or smells
  • holes, rips or worn areas
  • broken zippers
  • missing buttons
  • visible pet hair
  • socks, underwear, hats, bras and swimsuits, unless they are new with price tags

Non-Denim Options? What if I don’t have any denim to donate from my closet? You’re in luck!  They will accept other gently used, non-denim clothing items.

New Options? You can purchase something to donate. The organization’s Emergency Closet is currently in need of

  • new underwear in all men’s sizes
  • new underwear in women’s sizes extra small, small and medium
  • new underwear and socks in toddler sizes
