Floris UMC/Restoration presents, “Let Me Tell You What It’s Really Like.”
We all know someone who struggles with mental health issues. Many of us have loved ones who are dealing with mental health conditions. Often we do not understand the situation or know how to help.
Powerful and engaging, ”Let Me Tell You What It’s Really Like,” is a frank conversation about living with mental illness for both the person diagnosed and the people in their life. Join us to understand mental illness and its effects on friends, loved ones, and the affected individual.
“Let Me Tell You What It’s Really Like” is an impactful one-act play with a Q&A session afterward. It provides insight into what it is like to live with mental illness from two perspectives. It explores the viewpoint of people with mental health conditions and the perspective of people whose loved one has mental health issues.
This event is open to our congregation and community and is appropriate for children aged 12+. Childcare is available.
