Before you come to Restoration, you might be wondering what to wear. The answer is: whatever you want. Provided you have clothes on, whatever you want to wear is totally, 100% appropriate.
When you arrive, you can expect to be greeted by folks who are happy to see you. Park anywhere you like and head inside through the doors by the parking lot – there will be plenty of signs!
If you have kiddos, they will enjoy our KidsLife program with games, crafts, and stories. Kids eat brunch with their family. Afterward, they are dismissed to participate in KidsLife.
We take safety seriously. Staff members, and anyone who volunteers with KidsLife, completes a background screening and abuse awareness training. We never have children supervised by fewer than two adults.
Before we eat, we start by chatting over coffee and juice, getting to know one another. It is important to know our neighbors – that is why we do this. Then we share a meal with food delivered from a local restaurant or lovingly prepared by community members. As background music plays, we enjoy delicious food and lively conversation.
After the meal, we invite kids to go to a separate room for fun with our KidsLife team. The rest of us will move into a time of music, storytelling, and prayer. The music and story will encourage questions about our lives and enable meaningful discussion around the table. We invite you to listen and to share as you feel led.
To end our time together, we celebrate Communion. During this time, we remember the last supper Jesus had and God’s grace. At Restoration, we practice an “open table,” meaning anyone who wants to participate is welcome. It is OK if you do not take part. We will end our time together with a prayer. Afterward, everyone is welcome to linger and talk or go with a blessing!
